jenna, that pictures is pouring with stories and emotions - i'm tearing up just looking at you in that picture - i've never seen you in that place before (not just the physical place, but the emotional place). you were meant to be there in that moment right then - thanks for taking me there (or thanks to dan for capturing it) - it's a beautiful place.

and i want to be there when the words do come...i know they will...

I remember even talking with other people from our team and we all agreed that we were full of so much, but we didn't know how to say it. Someone asks, "How was the trip?" and you want to say so much but have no idea how. "Good" sure doesn't cut it, but I always felt relief when someone would as a specific question that I could answer well as opposed to the general ones.

The photo is so precious. I hope you frame that one.

Hey everyone, thanks for giving me space. I'll open up and share when I'm ripe and ready.

I always crash after I'm with family and have to say goodbye--imagine anticipating for months then finally getting to meet 900 family members you never knew you never knew, then being ripped away from them all within the span of a week. It's pretty emotionally wrecking, but I'll bounce back at some point, right?

Heather, thanks for your comment. I was kinda shocked when I saw that photo. I've never seen myself in that place before either, but it's one of the first pictures of myself in a looooong time that I haven't recoiled at when I see it. There truly are miracles happening at Mulli's...and not just to the Africans there!
